Membership categoriesIt is currently possible to join the Institute in one of two membership categories: - You can join as a Trainee if you are new to money advice. This category is available for one year from the date of your application. At the end of this period, it is expected that you will have completed general money advice training and therefore eligible to become an Associate. You can join as an Associate (AIMA) if you can meet the Wiseradviser Caseworker standards and/or are working towards the Specialist standards. If you want to join the Institute at this level, you will be asked to complete a self-assessment questionnaire to demonstrate that you have the skills and knowledge required. Other categories of membership will be available when assessment leading to accreditation is in place. These are Member (MIMA) and Fellow (FIMA). In addition to the above categories, Honorary Fellows FIMA (Hon) can be admitted to the Institute. Please click to download the IMA Application Form. Please click to download the IMA Questionnaire. |
